50,000 Pageviews

The productivity of a blog just amazes me. In less than five years there have been 50,000 pageviews of Gopher Genealogy. When organizing the blog with myyoungest daughter never would it have occurred to me how many people would take the time to read the posts. These posts are random thoughts from my hours of research, interacting with others and exploring the family histories for many people. Here are some of the statistics for this blog.

Discoveries and fascinating information are found in the ways people connect and the types of information they are interested in. With 74 followers and others who connect on facebook, through networkedblogs, geneamusings, and various other sources it appears to be a broad base of viewers. Being connected to networkedblogs and geneamusings provides avenues to directly reach fellow genealogists. For me, just celebrating that others seem to find benefit from reading what is posted is very rewarding. While for some the numbers may seem minor contrasted by other major bloggers, this is more than enough for me.
